Newsletter – December 2, 2013
We
are starting something new in spelling this week. I am giving a pretest on Monday so you can
see how well your child understands the phonics skill and words for the
week. If your child gets all the words
correct I will send home an enrichment list for them.
Please
make sure your child is practicing their part in the Christmas program at
home. Our play is next week and they
need the extra practice at home. Thank
you for your help!
Reading
and Phonics:

We are comparing
gingerbread man stories this week. We
will be reading The Gingerbread Man, The Gingerbread Girl, The
Gingerbread Girl, The Gingerbread Baby, Gingerbread Friends and
many others!

We will studying the
final ng and nk sound this week.
Grammar:

We will be learning
about verbs.
Comprehension:

We will be working
on plot this week.
Spelling:
Please practice
daily! We will have a spelling test on Friday.
